Going through a rather interesting situation at pagalguy.com . We’ve been tracking our traffic levels and over the last one month we’ve seen skyrocketing growth. We are serving close to 325,000 pages a day and the forum ends up serving over 150,000 pages on a business day. Assuming we have 6 ad spots, that makes a total of 900,000 - 1,000,000 (yes, close to a million ads a day)!
Ok, this is the possibility, next question is do we have the ability to fulfil that kind of inventory? When we’re looking at fulfilling approximately 3 crore impressions a month, I am realizing that it is extremely tough to get that many advertisers on board to ensure that the inventories are taken care of.
From what I sense, once the bottleneck has been identified, the problem area can be fixed. But here, I think I have become the bottleneck 
May be its time to hire a dedicated crew to market the website, but I am not too fond of that idea because I’d rather focus on what we do best. Develop new features and build better communities. Anyone here who can guide me to somebody who has a much better idea on media selling than I do ?

i know u r connected to more than 35000 students
but every year no of students taking cat is going on
incresing.so ur main approch should b contact more & more
students.
one idea i have is :- join all the groups available on yahoo
groups for cat exam,MBA RELATED. & SEND THEM INVITATION TO JUST HAVE A VISIT TO PAGALGUY. I KNOW ONCE ANY ONE CONNECTED TO PG
WILL NEVER THINK TO LEAVE IT.
hey… i recently read “THE GOOGLE STORY”… and the idea of makin money out of a website is jus gr8.. google has this philosophy of “DO NO EVIL”… where in they say tht by takin money out of search results… they r bein dishonest to their customers… now they call advertising as “SPONSERED LINKS”… which clearly states tht those links r actually payin google to be there… but wat google guys did was to have links which r relevent to the search word.. so even tht can be of help to the users and they (google guys) dont do ne evil… they have this funda of dividing the search result screen into 2… wherin 70% of the left part gives search results and 30% on the right gives ads…
u know wat… there r ppl out there who r ready to give billions of dollars to advertise on google home-page… but these guys have a strict No-No policy… they r good… everythi for the user.. the customer…
so may be u can take a link out of this and make ur ads relevent to MBa..CAT or watever…
